Breathing China, 2015
HD Video, video installation, color, sound, 1’15”, 1’41”, 55”, soil
Breathing China is an approach to everyday life, observing another culture. At first view, the image is uncertain but the small connections in the individual videos creates a single scene that is split into two different moments. The three videos show six different everyday life scenes from different social environments. Simple people working, a drinking tea ceremony, as well as children waiting to be photographed are showing similarities reflecting the Chinese culture but also specific to the eastern European culture that is miles away.
